Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution and delivery of electrical infrastructure projects
  • Oversee design, installation, testing and commissioning of systems
  • Recruit, mentor and supervise project teams across site operations
  • Manage procurement, supplier evaluations and material logistics
  • Ensure compliance with international standards, safety and regulations
  • Conduct site visits, monitor contractors and resolve technical issues
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, consultants and authorities
  • Drive continuous improvement and support handover to operations teams

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (Chartered/Professional Engineer preferred)
  • 6–10+ years’ project-based electrical engineering experience, with at least 3 years on overseas/remote projects
  • Knowledge of power generation, distribution and control systems (hydropower desirable)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, ETAP or similar design/modelling software
  • Strong leadership, planning, procurement and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel and work in overseas project environments

Civil Engineer/Project Manager

We’re Hiring: Civil Engineer with Project Manager Experience – Overseas Projects

We’re looking for a Civil Engineer with proven project management skills. This role is responsible for overseeing major international infrastructure projects, from planning and design through to delivery, with a focus on civil works in demanding overseas environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from initiation to completion, meeting scope, schedule and budget
  • Recruit, lead and mentor engineers, trades and site personnel
  • Oversee procurement, contract negotiations and material logistics
  • Develop project plans, budgets, risk registers and progress reports
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental regulations
  • Act as liaison between clients, contractors, vendors and authorities
  • Conduct overseas site visits, monitor progress and maintain QA
  • Lead performance reviews, mentoring and training of multicultural teams
  • Support tender preparation, feasibility studies and strategic planning

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (PMP/Prince2 preferred)
  • 8–12+ years’ project management experience, including 3–5 years in overseas/remote projects
  • Strong track record in infrastructure, power or energy project delivery
  • Hydropower or renewable energy experience highly regarded
  • Strong procurement, contract administration and logistics knowledge
  • Skilled in budgeting, cost control and project management software
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with cultural adaptability

Surveyor with Construction Experience

We’re Hiring: Surveyor with Construction Experience – Overseas Projects

Pacific Energy Group is seeking a skilled Surveyor to support our international construction and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will apply your expertise in measurements, mapping, and boundary determination to ensure the accuracy and success of large-scale overseas works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct precise measurements of distances, angles and elevations to map land and construction sites
  • Establish and define property and project boundaries for development and infrastructure projects
  • Manage spatial and land information systems, compile data, and prepare technical reports for project teams and authorities
  • Provide technical expertise for construction planning, land subdivision, and large-scale project layouts
  • Support environmental, mining and infrastructure projects with accurate survey data

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Spatial Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
  • 3–5+ years’ experience as a surveyor in construction, infrastructure or mining projects
  • Proficient with surveying equipment (GPS, total stations, scanners) and relevant software for data analysis and mapping
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, contracts and site operations
  • Excellent analytical, numeracy and reporting skills
  • Professional registration or eligibility for registration is highly regarded

High Voltage Electrical Linesman – Overseas Projects (PNG)

Pacific Energy Group is seeking an experienced High Voltage Electrical Linesman to join our power infrastructure team on international projects across the South Pacific.

 This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in high voltage power line construction and maintenance, who thrives in challenging environments and values safety and precision above all.

Key Responsibilities

  • Erecting towers, poles, and support structures for HV transmission lines
  • Stringing conductors and connecting components of HV power systems
  • Performing regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HV power lines
  • Responding promptly to power outages and restoring services
  • Ensuring strict compliance with electrical safety regulations and environmental standards
  • Using, inspecting, and maintaining equipment including bucket trucks, line trucks, and test devices
  • Completing accurate project documentation and reports
  • Collaborating with team members and communicating with site supervisors

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in high voltage power line installation and maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of Australian or international electrical safety standards
  • Ability to work in remote or offshore environments
  • Physically fit and comfortable working at heights or in varying conditions
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and reporting skills
  • Willingness to travel and work on fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) arrangements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems
  • HV Switching Ticket
  • Current CPR/LVR and White Card
  • Experience with overhead and underground systems
  • Valid Passport (for overseas deployment)
